Know your health.Own your story.

Understand your treatment. Notice what's changing. Ask better questions.

You might not have a word for it yet. That's alright, most people don't.

Starting a new medication or living with ongoing symptoms can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming.

  • There's a name for it

Antipsychotic and antidepressant medications can cause movement-related side effects. Collectively these are called extrapyramidal side effects, or EPS.

  • It can start quietly

These changes can start subtly: a slight tremor, or a restlessness that is hard to put into words.

  • Appointments are short

Changes that happen between visits are easy to forget, and hard to describe from memory once you are in the room.

  • Noticing gives you more to work with

When you have noticed and recorded what is changing, you and your care team have more to talk about at your next appointment.

What keeping track can look like.

How people use EPSpeak between appointments, and what changes when the conversation starts from what actually happened.

  • Sarah M.46 years

Now I walk in with notes, not guesses.

  • It is so much easier to explain what has been happening.

I used to forget half of what I wanted to say once I was in the room. Now my check-ins are all there, so the conversation starts from what actually happened rather than from what I can remember.

    James T.58 years

  • Priya K.34 years

The check-in takes less than a minute.

  • I like that I decide what gets shared.

Nothing goes to anyone unless I choose to share it. Knowing that made it much easier to start, and I share my record with my clinician when I am ready.

    Daniel R.41 years

  • Helen W.63 years

Seeing the weeks side by side helped me ask better questions.

  • No account, no fuss.

I did not have to sign up or hand over my email. I opened it, read the short passage aloud, and my first check-in was done.

Is my data secure and protected with EPSpeak?

  • No account, no name

There is no account to create and no login. EPSpeak uses anonymous sign-in with a randomly generated ID, and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts or precise location.

  • Only during your check-in

Recording happens only while you complete your check-in, never in the background. Raw movement data from your phone's sensors never leaves your device.

  • Deleted on a schedule

Voice recordings are deleted from EPSpeak Cloud after 7 days, unless you have enrolled in the pilot study. If you are not enrolled in the pilot study, everything else is deleted after 30 days of inactivity.

  • Yours to share

You're in control of your data. You can choose whether to share your information with your trusted clinician.
