How it works, step by step
How EPSpeak helps
Daily companion
Build self-awareness and self-monitor your symptoms over time.
Voice-based self check-in
Complete a simple voice-based check-in to help you notice changes over time.

Does EPSpeak diagnose side effects?
No. EPSpeak does not diagnose side effects or any other condition, and it will not tell you what is causing a change. It helps you notice and keep a record of changes over time so you can discuss them with your doctor or care team, who are the people qualified to interpret them.
Your phone is all you needNo wearable needed
You can use EPSpeak without a wearable. Your phone provides everything you need to track your symptoms and experiences over time.
If you have a compatible wearable, you can optionally connect it to EPSpeak to provide additional continuous data. This can help build a richer picture of changes over time and, where appropriate, support information you choose to share with your care team.
Fitbit
At home or at your appointment
EPSpeak offers two simple sessions designed for use at home or in the clinic. Complete a session before your appointment or during your visit, then choose what information you would like to share with your care team.
At home
Complete a session in your own time, before your appointment, so what you want to raise is already written down.
At the clinic
Complete a session during your visit, and choose what you would like to share with your care team.
Questions about how it works
The EPSpeak daily check-in takes under a minute. You read a short affirmation aloud, which takes roughly 20 to 40 seconds, and answer a few quick wellness questions. Each check-in adds to your record, so over days and weeks you can look back at how things have changed instead of relying on memory.
No. EPSpeak records only while you complete your daily check-in, never in the background. During that short window it records your voice as you read the affirmation aloud and reads your phone's motion sensors. Raw motion sensor data never leaves your phone, and voice recordings are deleted from EPSpeak's cloud storage after 7 days.
No. Your phone provides everything you need to track your symptoms and experiences over time, and every core feature works without a wearable. If you already have a Fitbit or use Google Health, you can optionally connect it to add steps, heart rate, sleep and exercise, but it is never required.
Once a day works well for most people. A brief daily entry, even on quiet days, builds a baseline that makes changes easier to see. Add an extra note when something new happens or a medicine changes. A short note every day is more useful to your doctor than a long one every few weeks.
Yes. EPSpeak is made in Australia by MANOAI Pty Ltd and is available free on Google Play for Android phones and on the App Store for iPhone. You do not need a wearable, an account or a referral from a doctor to start using it, and it works on your phone alone.
